This tape is a document of a performance by Herman Nitsche at the Western Front, an artist run centre in Vancouver. Titled “Action 58”, this performance is a series of highly ritualized actions performed by Hermann Nitsche with his assistants and a participant. This tape, made up of selections from this performance, condenses eight hours of performance into a five-minute videotape.
